These represent some of the most popular questions we get asked.
Dental Faqs
Q. I have a toothache or a dental emergency. When can I get an appointment?
A. Call Jess on 5443 2800 and she will do her very best to get you a same day appointment.
Q. What will happen during my consultation?
A. We will ask you to complete a two page medical history form so our dentists can gain a full and comprehensive understanding if your dental history. We may take an X-ray to aid with our diagnosis. As it will be your first visit, we feel that it is vital that our dentists spend the time with you to listen to your concerns.
Q. Will you send me elsewhere for treatment?
A. We pride ourselves that most of our work is completed in house and on site at our Cotton Tree practice. However there are some treatments that do require a referral to a local specialist on the coast.
Q. Where is Sunshine Coast Smile Centre?
A. Our practice is in Cotton Tree (Maroochydore), in the big yellow building on the corner of The Esplanade and Second Avenue. Simply go in the main entrance and take the lift to Level 2. Please view our map for more detailed directions.
Q. Who will see me for my consultation?
A. You will initially be greeted by Jess our friendly receptionist. Then you will be treated by one of our three very experienced and highly qualified dentists. At Sunshine Coast Smile Centre we encourage our patients to build a relationship with your dentist so to facilitate this you will be able to see the dentist of your choice.
Q. How often should I visit the dentist?
A. As a general rule, most adults and children should have a check up every six months. We all know that prevention is better than cure!
Q. Are you an accredited dental practice?
A. Yes we volunteered to go through the accreditation process and we are pleased to say we passed!
