Sunshine Coast Smile Centre have built their practice around a Dental Care Culture that puts the needs of patients first.

Sunshine Coast Smile Centre Dental Care Culture

Since we took ownership of the Sunshine Coast Smile Centre in 2007 we have worked hard to build a Dental Care Culture that focuses firmly on our patients.

Being an independent family owned and operated dental practice, we firmly believe in the good old fashioned values of excellent customer service and quality care.

Our promise is to ‘value and respect each and every patient and to deliver professional care at each and every visit’. We have built our Dental Care Culture around this foundation.

However beyond it we not only offer patients longer consultation times with one of our three resident dentists, but do our best to offer them prompt, same day appointments too. Especially if they require an emergency dental appointment.

During your initial consultation, which typically lasting for around 40 minutes, we will take 2 x-rays and also provide you with an accurate diagnosis and full treatment plan. The cost of this is only $145, but the peace of mind and quality of care you get is priceless.

Our three resident dentists – Dr Jon Kerr, Dr Anthony Caiafa and Dr Annie Walker have over 50 years of field experience between them. During that time they have seen it all. So they have the experience and skill to diagnose and perform treatment on any dental requirements you may have in-house at our Cotton Tree practice.

“Our promise is to value and respect each and every patient and to deliver professional care at each and every visit”

The Importance of Dental Care Culture

For every dentist it is important to have a clear Dental Care Culture. It serves as the personality of the practice. It also defines how the practice treats their patients and perhaps most importantly, what their fundamental beliefs and work ethics are.

At Sunshine Coast Smile Centre we believe in the importance of continuity of care.

Our aim is for each patient to see the same dentist during all of their visits. Quite simply because we believe forming a relationship with a patient is the key to understanding their needs.

We don’t judge people at Sunshine Coast Smile Centre and we don’t pressure patients in to making any rushed decisions about their oral health care.

We also appreciate the cost of dental care can be a reason why some people put off going seeking treatment. That is why we are proud to offer Denticare payment plans as one of our payment options.

This means our patients can access the quality care that they deserve in a manner that is more affordable to them.
Our Dental Care Culture is also very much based around keeping it local.

It is for this reason we use local labs and dental technicians whenever we need to outsource work. This allows us to support other small businesses within the Sunshine Coast community.

We also believe in giving back. Which is why we support many charitable causes within our local community. This includes ‘Funds for Felix’ where we assisted a family to go to the UK to attend a conference about their son who has a very rare disease. We have also taken part in the Salvation Army’s ‘Adopt a Family’ appeal.

At Sunshine Coast Smile Centre, this is who we are, so let our family take care of your family.
